Well...what can I say...it's been over a year since I've last written anything on this blog. Looking back...so many things have come and gone...and here I am...just a few months shy of graduation...and finally having a moment to actually evaluate my life so far :) so what's been going on, you may ask? Hahaha...let's see...backdating to my last post sometime in June 2008...we'll start from there:
~ Summer back in Sibu/Trip to Penang (May-August 2008)
~ Mission trip to Cambodia (July/August 2008)
~ "Incident" with my fall semester
~ Mom's visit in May/June 2009
~ 4th of July with the cousins!
~ Boring summer doing nothing...LITERALLY :(
~ Start of my final semester...woot woot!!
so yeah...it's running into the end of September and things are moving along fast. Soon enough...graduation is gonna be here...and come January...it's gonna be a whole new world for me! How do I feel? Well...honestly it's mixed right now...excited...scared...ecstatic...unsure...but I'm leaving it all in God's hands. He has a plan for me...and I await for Him to unfold it before me. Maybe California, or New Mexico, or Kentucky...or maybe even here in The Woodlands....or maybe even Cambodia...who knows? But one thing's for sure...He will lead the way!!
hahaha....so yeah...this may be yet another one of those posts that will not be seen again until who knows when...don't know where the inspiration to blog came from tonight...but hopefully it will not end here :) Ooooh...and to my best friend Pak Tun...congratulations on ur ROM and ur forthcoming wedding!!! I really wish I could be there to celebrate in this joyous occassion with u and ur wife...but unfortunately I can't. So my best wishes and blessings upon both of you and I look forward to a late celebration with u guys when I go back again!!
And to whoever that may end up reading this blog...God bless you and keep you!!

HAHHAHAHA...no highways to conquer...seriously....no I-45 or I-10 or 242...LOL...!
Anywayzzz...gonna stop here for now...will post up more pics of food and my recent visit to Kota Kinabalu for the BB pesta. Am down with a cold and am trying to get over it ASAP...as I still have a 2 week trip to Cambodia next Monday!!

Pastor's Business Card
This is for the many of you out there who are dreading the start of school again tomorrow after a nice long spring break....cheers!
Pastor's Business Card
A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door.
Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote "Revelation 3:20" on the back of it and stuck it in the door.
When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, "Genesis 3:10."
Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins "Behold, I stand at the door and knock." Genesis 3:10 reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked."
Hahaha...just for laughs and hopefully to lighten your spirits up. Have a safe and blessed week ahead!!
"A cheerful heart is good medicine." (Prov. 17:22)
Cheers,
brybry

Why we go to church?
An encouragement to some of my discouraged friends/readers who may be having a hard time or week...
A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. "I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all."
This started a real controversy in the "Letters to the Editor" column. Much to the delight of the editor, it went on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher: "I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this... They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, I would be spiritually dead today!"
When you are DOWN to nothing....God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible! Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment!
May this be a blessing and a refreshing of the soul to you, my friends. Remember, in times of hardship, temptations or trials we have a choice - give praise, or give up! When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say, "Jesus, could you get that for me?"
The lyrics to the song "Give Me Words to Speak" by Aaron Shust is a great example of surrendering it all to Christ...check it out:
Calloused and bruised, dazed and confused
My Spirit is left wanting something more
Than my selfish hopes, and my selfish dreams
I’m lying with my face down to the floor
I’m crying out for more
Give me Words to speak
Don’t let my Spirit sleep
Cause I can’t think of anything worth saying
But I know that I owe You my life
So give me Words to speak
Don’t let my Spirit sleep
Every night, every day
I find that I have nothing left to say
So I stand here in silence awaiting Your guidance
I’m wanting only Your voice to be heard
Let them be Your Words
I just don’t understand this life that I’ve been living
I just don’t understand (x2)
I just don’t understand these lies I’ve been believing
I just don’t understand (x2)
God bless...

Hail Storm!!!!!
Seriously...a hail storm is going on outside as I'm writing this blog...was in my room when I heard loud banging sound on the roof...I thought the rain was coming down hard. What the heck...I looked out my window and these BALLS of ICE were hitting my window!! Dang it...it's hailing outside...n' I am frantically worrying about my car...cuz I've heard of serious hail damage on vehicles...!! But I dare not walk out right now...those hail balls could hurt like hell if you get hit...check out the pics I took from the backyard door....
Gosh...still hailing outside...hoping everything will be just fine...LOL...those balls of hail look like they would make a good cup of milk tea...or it reminds me of the tapioca balls...hahaha...my mind's wondering towards food again...
Anyways...Happy Chinese New Year to all of my friends back in Sibu!! Hoping you'll all have a blessed time and eat lots lots for me. Don't forgot to send me my angpow, OK!!!...hahaha...

God's love...
Sometimes as Christians we tend to lose track of our faith...and we moan and groan about petty things in our lives...and blame God from time to time when things don't go our way. We complain about how unfair God is towards us...and that He does not care about us...and yet we often overlook the biggest sacrifice that He made for all of us on this earth...the sacrifice of His one and only Son. This video is definitely an eye-opener and a reminder for me of the greatest gift and sacrifice that God had made for each and every one of us...check it out:
Hope this will help many of us out there who struggle from time to time with our daily lives...and hopefully will serve as a great reminder as well as inspiration for us to continue to lean on God and to trust in Him to provide for us in everything that we do.
Wishing everyone a blessed week ahead...and may God continue to work in you through His mysterious but powerful ways!
